The Federal College of Animal Health and Technology (FCAH&T), in partnership with the World Bank and the Ideas TVET Initiative, has announced applications for the 2026 Free Practical Poultry Training Program for Nigerians.
This fully sponsored training programme is designed to provide participants with modern, hands-on skills in poultry production. The initiative aims to empower young Nigerians with practical agricultural knowledge that supports employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable agribusiness development.
Successful participants will receive financial support during the training period, professional certification, and a starter package to enable them to establish or expand poultry farming ventures upon completion.

Program Description
The Free Practical Poultry Training Program focuses on intensive, hands-on learning in modern poultry production techniques. Participants will gain practical experience covering poultry management, feeding, disease control, housing systems, and business operations related to poultry farming.
The training is structured to ensure participants develop the technical and entrepreneurial skills required to succeed in poultry agribusiness, whether starting a new venture or scaling an existing operation.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the World Bank Ideas TVET Initiative Free Practical Poultry Training Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be Nigerian men or women aged between 18 and 35 years
- Must be resident in Ibadan or surrounding areas within Oyo State
- Must be willing to commit fully to the six (6) months training period
