The Master Mind Scholarships Fellowship Programme is a prestigious initiative of the Flemish Government designed to attract exceptional international students to Belgium and strengthen global collaboration in higher education.

For the 2026 academic session, the Government of Belgium has opened applications for the Master Mind Scholarship at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) — one of the leading universities in Flanders.

This fellowship supports high-achieving students who want to pursue a Master’s degree in Belgium while receiving generous financial assistance and academic support.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the VUB Master Mind Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

  • Possess a minimum CGPA of 3.5/4.0 (verified through Scholaro)
  • Be a citizen of any country other than Russia
  • Not currently study or have graduated from any Flemish higher institution
  • Have already received an official admission letter from VUB
  • Meet advanced English proficiency standards:
    • TOEFL iBT: 94+
    • IELTS Academic: Band 7.0+
    • Cambridge English: C1 level (minimum score 185)

Scholarship Benefits

Successful scholars will receive:

  • €10,020 stipend per academic year
  • Tuition fee waiver, paying only the standard Flemish student rate
    (approx. €139.40 for 2025–2026)
  • Support for the full duration of the Master’s program
    (second year funding is conditional for two-year programs)

  2. After receiving your admission letter, submit the Master Mind Fellowship application online, including:

    • Recommendation letters
    • Certified copies of diplomas
